This world will test your heart, betray your trust, and expose you to darkness you never imagined. People will lie, deceive, and hurt you without a second thought. But don’t let their darkness become yours. Don’t allow bitterness to replace kindness, hatred to destroy love, or cruelty to steal your compassion. You can recognize evil without becoming evil. You can walk through hell without carrying it in your soul. Be strong enough to face the darkness, wise enough not to embrace it, and faithful enough to keep God’s light burning within you. The world may grow darker, but that doesn’t mean you have to.
