Q: Does God really listen when I pray?
A: Yes. And the Bible describes it in a way that should stop us in our tracks.
“Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.” — Psalm 116:2 KJV
Think about those words: “inclined his ear unto me.”
Imagine the God above—the Creator of the heavens, the One who spoke this world into existence—leaning down to listen to you.
Wow.
You may feel insignificant. You may think your problems are too small. You may wonder whether your prayers ever make it beyond the ceiling.
But God hears.
When you’re alone in your room and whisper His name—He hears you.
When tears are falling and you can barely get the words out—He hears you.
When nobody else understands what you’re carrying—He hears you.
Prayer isn’t talking into empty space. It isn’t a ritual performed for show. It’s a child speaking to the Father.
And think about this: there are billions of people on this earth, yet you are never lost in the crowd to God.
You don’t need an appointment.
You don’t need money.
You don’t need fame.
You don’t need perfect words.
You just need to pray.
The Almighty God who created the stars is willing to hear the voice of one human being calling out to Him.
Imagine God leaning down from heaven because He wants to hear what you have to say.
If that doesn’t make you want to pray more, think about it again.
The world may ignore you. People may walk away from you. But when you call upon God with a sincere heart, Heaven is listening.
“Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.”
— Psalm 116:2 KJV
