Absolutely. You didn’t command your heart to keep beating through the night. You didn’t order the sun to rise this morning. You opened your eyes because God allowed you another day of life. Scripture says, “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24 KJV Every morning is another opportunity to love your family, help somebody, correct yesterday’s mistakes, strengthen your faith and glorify the God who gave you life.

Stop treating your days like they’re guaranteed. James 4:14 reminds us that our life is “even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow hasn’t been promised. What you have is today. Don’t waste it consumed by anger, jealousy, grudges, money, pride or the opinions of people who have no control over your eternity. Thank God for what you have and use the time He’s given you wisely.
Q: How do I live a life that glorifies God?
It isn’t only about what you say on Sunday. It’s about how you live Monday through Saturday. Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16 KJV Glorify God by the way you treat people. Be honest when dishonesty would benefit you. Forgive when holding a grudge would be easier. Help someone who can never repay you. Love your family. Control your tongue. Stand for truth. Stay faithful when life gets dark.
Q: What should I remember when I wake up tomorrow?
Before you complain about what you don’t have, remember what you were just given:
Another sunrise. Another breath. Another opportunity. Another day.
Thank God for it.
Then get up and live in a way that shows Him you understand what a gift it really is.
