The Bible does not directly say whether there is physical life on other planets or in other galaxies.
That means we must be careful.
We should not claim what God has not revealed.
But the Bible does tell us something powerful: God created far more than what human eyes can see.
Genesis 1:1 says:
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
That one sentence is bigger than the human mind can hold. God did not only create our world. He created the heavens. The stars. The galaxies. The vast universe that stretches beyond our imagination.
Psalm 19:1 says:
“The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork.”
The universe is not random. It is not empty of meaning. Every star, every planet, every galaxy points back to the power and glory of the Creator.
The Bible also shows us that there is intelligent life beyond mankind. Angels exist. Spiritual beings exist. Heaven itself is real. So Scripture clearly teaches that humans are not the only beings God created.
But when it comes to life on other planets, the Bible remains silent.
Could God have created life somewhere else?
Yes.
God is powerful enough to do anything according to His will.
Did He tell us that He did?
No.
And where Scripture is silent, we should be humble.
Deuteronomy 29:29 says:
“The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us…”
That verse matters.
There are things God has chosen to reveal.
And there are things He has not.
The deeper question is not whether life exists in another galaxy.
The deeper question is this:
Why did God reveal Himself to us?
God made mankind in His image.
God gave us His Word.
God sent His Son into this world to die for our sins.
That tells us how valuable the human soul is.
Jesus said in Mark 8:36:
“For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?”
Even if there are billions of galaxies, your soul still matters to God.
Even if the universe is larger than we can imagine, God still sees you.
Even if there are mysteries beyond our reach, the truth we need most has already been revealed through Jesus Christ.
So can we wonder about life beyond earth?
Yes.
Can we study creation?
Yes.
Can we be amazed by the universe?
Absolutely.
But our faith should never be built on speculation.
It must be built on what God has revealed.
The heavens may make us look up in wonder.
But the cross makes us bow in gratitude.
Because the greatest mystery is not whether there is life in another galaxy.
The greatest truth is that the God who made every galaxy cared enough about us to send His Son to save our souls.
