SOME PEOPLE LOVE YOU. SOME PEOPLE LOVE WHAT YOU DO FOR THEM.

Some people love you for what you do, highlighting the difference between genuine love, conditional relationships, and healthy boundaries.

There is a difference between someone who loves you and someone who loves what you provide. Sometimes you don’t discover that difference until you stop giving. Stop fixing their problems. Stop paying. Stop rescuing. Stop always being available. Stop carrying a relationship that would collapse the moment you put it down.

Real love doesn’t disappear when your usefulness does. The people who truly love you will still call when you have nothing to offer. They’ll sit beside you when you’re struggling instead of only showing up when they need something. They value your heart, your presence, and the person you are—not just what they can take from your hands.

Pay attention when you finally say no. Sometimes one small word exposes years of fake loyalty. People who benefited from your lack of boundaries may suddenly call you selfish when you create them.

Don’t become cold because someone used your kindness. Just become wiser about where you place it. Keep your heart good, but understand this: everyone who says “I love you” doesn’t necessarily love you.

Some people love your heart. Others just love having access to it. Learn the difference.
