The Gods of Dust

The Gods of Dust message about false idols and modern worship

Humanity has always worshipped something.

If not God…

then money.

If not God…

then power.

If not God…

then fame, pleasure, status, politics, possessions, beauty, approval, influence, or self.

The names have changed since the days of Baal and Molech, but the human heart remains the same. Ancient people bowed before statues made of stone and gold. Today people bow before bank accounts, social media followers, corporations, celebrities, addictions, and their own reflection in the mirror. The false gods have evolved, but the worship never stopped.

The frightening part is how cheap the trade has become.

People will trade their integrity for a promotion.
Trade their marriage for a moment of temptation.
Trade their soul for attention from strangers.
Trade truth for popularity.
Trade eternity for temporary comfort.

All for things that eventually turn to dust.

Everything this world worships is dying.

The money stays behind.
The fame fades.
The beauty ages.
The applause grows silent.
The possessions end up belonging to someone else.

Yet millions spend their entire lives chasing shadows while ignoring the only thing that lasts forever.

The enemy rarely destroys people through open rebellion.

More often he distracts them.

He convinces them there is always more time.
More money to make.
More status to achieve.
More pleasures to pursue.

Then one day they wake up and realize the very things they sacrificed everything for never truly satisfied them at all.

Because false gods always overpromise and underdeliver.

They demand everything and give nothing lasting in return.

The truth is uncomfortable.

There are not many gods.

There is one.

Period.

One Creator.
One King.
One Judge.
One Savior.

The God who spoke galaxies into existence.
The God who formed mankind from dust.
The God who knows every thought before it enters your mind and every breath before it leaves your lungs.

Every other god mankind creates is temporary.

Every idol eventually crumbles.

Every kingdom eventually falls.

Every human being eventually stands before the One who was there before the beginning and remains after the end.

The greatest tragedy is not that people reject God.

The greatest tragedy is watching people spend their entire lives chasing things that were never capable of saving them in the first place.

The clock is moving.
The world is fading.
The dust is settling.

And when everything else is stripped away, only one question remains:

What did you worship?
