The Beauty of a Child’s Heart
There is something sacred about children.
Watch them for a moment and you will see it.
The way they laugh freely.
The way they trust easily.
The way they believe in goodness without hesitation.
Children carry a kind of innocence the world slowly tries to take away.
Their hearts are soft.
Their spirits are open.
Their faith is simple and pure.
Perhaps that is why Jesus spoke so strongly about them. In Matthew 18:3, He said that unless we become like children, we cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.
Think about that for a moment.
In a world that celebrates power, pride, and success…
Jesus pointed to a child.
Not a king.
Not a scholar.
Not a warrior.
A child.
Because children remind us of something heaven values deeply.
Humility.
Trust.
Purity of heart.
Children believe what you tell them.
Your words shape how they see the world…
and how they see themselves.
A careless word can stay with them for years.
But a word of encouragement can stay with them for a lifetime.
That is why we must be careful how we speak to children.
Build them.
Encourage them.
Remind them they are loved.
Remind them they matter.
Because the voice they hear from us today may become the voice they hear in their own heart tomorrow.
And when we look into the eyes of a child, we are witnessing something rare in this world.
A glimpse of innocence.
A glimpse of hope.
Perhaps even the closest thing to angels walking on earth.
Protect their hearts.
Guard their innocence.
And never forget that the way we treat children today…
helps shape the kind of world we will live in tomorrow.
