LEARN BEFORE IT HURTS

Learn from others' mistakes and avoid painful consequences by choosing wisdom and making better decisions

They say you live, make mistakes, and learn from them.

That’s true.

But there’s an even wiser way to live:

Learn from someone else’s mistakes before they become yours.

You don’t have to touch every fire to know it burns.

Watch the person who destroyed a marriage through temptation. Learn from them.

Watch the person who lost years to addiction. Learn from them.

Watch the person who sacrificed family chasing money, only to discover money couldn’t buy those years back. Learn from them.

Watch the person whose anger, pride, or bad decisions cost them everything.

Pay attention.

Wisdom isn’t having to experience every consequence yourself.

Sometimes wisdom is looking at the wreckage in someone else’s rearview mirror and deciding:

I’m not taking that road.

Life will give you enough lessons of your own.

You don’t have to personally learn every one the hard way.

“A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.” — Proverbs 22:3
