Your children don’t need you to be perfect.
They need you to pay attention.
Know where they are. Know who they’re with. Know who has access to them. Watch what enters their phones, their minds, and their lives.
Don’t be so afraid of upsetting your child that you stop being their parent.
Set boundaries. Ask questions. Say no when necessary. Be willing to become unpopular if that’s what protecting them requires.
There will be plenty of time for them to understand your decisions when they’re older.
Right now, your job is to help keep them safe.
Love them enough to watch.
Love them enough to listen.
Love them enough to protect them.
Because protecting your children isn’t controlling them.
It’s one of the greatest responsibilities God ever placed in your hands.
