“Someday.”

It sounds harmless.

Hopeful.

Patient.

But don’t be fooled.

“Someday” has buried more dreams than failure ever could.

It convinces you there will always be another chance.

Another Monday.

Another year.

Another opportunity.

Another conversation.

Another time to chase your dream.

Another day to tell someone you love them.

Another day to forgive.

Another day to change.

The problem is…

“Someday” isn’t a day on the calendar.

It’s a prison where dreams slowly die.

It’s where businesses are never started.

Books are never written.

Prayers are never prayed.

Marriages are never repaired.

Goals are never reached.

Lives are quietly wasted while people wait for the perfect moment that never comes.

The enemy doesn’t have to destroy your purpose.

He only has to convince you to postpone it.

One day becomes one week.

One week becomes one year.

One year becomes a lifetime of regret.

The Bible reminds us:

“You do not know what tomorrow will bring… What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.”

Tomorrow is not promised.

This moment is.

If God has placed something on your heart…

Do it.

Make the call.

Start the business.

Write the book.

Repair the relationship.

Take the first step.

Pray the prayer.

Forgive the person.

Turn back to God.

Stop saying “Someday.”

Replace it with “Today.”

Because one day…

There won’t be another someday.

Only the life you chose to live…

Or the one you kept putting off.
