When the World Feels Uncertain
Turn on the news today and you can feel it almost immediately.
Tension.
Conflict.
War.
Uncertainty about what tomorrow may bring.
Nations posture against one another.
Leaders make decisions that affect millions of lives.
And many people quietly carry a weight of worry about what may happen next.
It reminds us of something very real about life.
There are many things in this world that we simply cannot control.
We cannot control the decisions of governments.
We cannot control the direction of nations.
We cannot control the storms that sometimes sweep across the world.
But there is one truth that never changes.
God is still in control.
Even when the world feels unstable…
even when events unfold that we do not understand…
even when it seems like powerful people hold the fate of nations in their hands…
The truth is that history has always moved under the authority of God.
Scripture reminds us of this clearly:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding.
— Proverbs 3:5
Our understanding is limited.
But God’s wisdom is not.
That is why moments like these are not a time for panic.
They are a time for prayer.
A time to remember that peace does not come from governments or armies.
Peace begins when people humble themselves before God and ask Him to guide the hearts of leaders and nations.
Now more than ever, the world needs people who will pray.
Not out of fear…
but out of faith.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with humble hearts, thanking You for Your grace and mercy.
We ask that You guide the leaders of our country and the leaders of other nations to seek peace.
We pray that You protect those who are involved in conflict and watch over their families.
Lord, we ask that You bring comfort to all who read this and remind them that You are still sovereign over this world.
May Your wisdom lead us,
and may Your peace fill our hearts.
In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.
